AUSTIN (KXAN) — About 100 families affected by the July 5 flood were helped through Williamson County’s Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) this past weekend, according to the county.
The MARC was open from July 18 to 20, offering services to families ranging from food to mental health. More than a dozen agencies were present, the county said.
Although the MARC, which was at the county's EMS North Campus at 3189 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, is now closed, the county said the Disaster Recovery Center, located on the same campus, will stay open through Aug. 17.
The Disaster Recovery Center, open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, hosts representatives from FEMA and the Small Business Administration to help people with federal aid for disaster-related needs not covered by insurance. The county said no appointment is needed.
The county said physical donations are no longer being accepted at the EMS North Campus. Instead, anyone who wants to help flood victims can donate to the Central Texas Community Foundation's Wilco Cares Fund.
The county said more flood-related resources are available on its website.
