AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person is dead after a crash involving two motorcycles that happened over the weekend in south Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.
Around 10:45 a.m., April 26, officers responded to the crash in the 10500 block of South Interstate 35 northbound, per a news release from APD. Police said one of the motorcyclists was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 51-year-old John Carrizales.
The other motorcyclist was not injured, remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
This is being reported as Austin's 27th fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
No other details were available Tuesday.
